Basketball Adds Bialas

(Monday, November 19; Sioux Center, Iowa) Camden Bialas, a senior at Parker High School (South Dakota), has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender basketball program.

Bialas averaged 13.3 points per game with seven rebounds last season for Parker and blocked 3.5 shots per game.  Bialas is listed 6-9. Bialas earned all-conference first-team honors as a junior and was an all-state tournament pick in the Class B field as a sophomore.

"Camden is a player who will get better and better as he matures.  We have high hopes for his future, and expect him to be a top notch player very soon," said Dordt basketball coach Brian Van Haaften.

Camden is the son of Tyronne and Emily Bialas of Parker, South Dakota. He plans to study Engineering at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
