Dordt to present honors recital

Dordt's music department highlights scholarship recipients

Dordt’s Music Department will be presenting an Honors Recital on Friday, September 21, at 3 p.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium. A reception will follow the performance in the lobby.

Performers in the honors recital are all recipients of named music scholarships made possible by Dordt donors. These scholarships were awarded to first-year students who contributed significantly to their high school or community music program and to upperclassmen who have contributed significantly to Dordt’s music program.

  • Noah Deist, freshman, marimba, Vanden Brink Freshman Music Scholarship
  • Carlie Hoekstra, freshman, voice, Den Besten Music Scholarship
  • Payton Kooi, freshman, piano, Ringerwole Piano Scholarship
  • Pam Regnerus, junior, organ, John and Reona Reinsma Organ Scholarship
  • Kourtney TeBrake, senior, voice, Steensma Music Scholarship
  • Ashley Van Engen, sophomore, organ, Ringerwole Organ Scholarship and Roossien Organ Scholarship
  • Janna Vanden Brink, freshman, flute, Den Besten Music Scholarship
  • Nathan Ver Meer, freshman, trombone, John and Frances Bonnema Memorial Music Scholarship
  • Kira Waite, freshman, piano, Den Besten Music Scholarship
  • Rachel Wordes, freshman, piano, Joe J. Dahm Memorial Music Scholarship

The recital is open to the public and free of charge.
