(Wednesday, June 20; Sioux Center, Iowa) Christian Brooks, a recent Ontario Christian (California) graduate, has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender football program.
Brooks was a first-team all-league pick for Ontario Christian and also competed in track and field where he won the Coaches' Award. He's 5-8, 190 pounds and played linebacker and running back in high school.
"Christian is an outstanding late addition to this recruiting class. He did a great job playing outside linebacker at Ontario Christian and we plan to plug him in our defense in the same role. He gets the Dordt culture very well and we believe he will add to the community positively," said Dordt College coach Joel Penner.
Christian is the son of Gregory Brooks and Terri Brooks of Upland, California. He plans to study Business Administration.
Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).
