Casemier Earns Academic Honor

(Tuesday, March 13; Sioux Center, Iowa) The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced that 177 Division II men’s basketball student-athletes have been named 2018 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Dordt College had one athlete included on the list.
Josh Casemier (Junior; Lenexa, Kansas) earns the honor and is studying Engineering at Dordt College. Casemier appeared in nine games for the Defenders this season.
In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
