Sioux Center, Iowa: Dordt’s theatre department will present “The Drawer Boy” by Michael Healy, directed by Josiah Wallace, from February 21-24.
When a Canadian avant-garde theatre troupe decides to create a play about farming in the 1970's, the actors have some serious learning to do. What starts as an actor's humorous attempt to learn about farm life from a couple of farmers, transforms into a journey of discovering the power that story has to shape our perspective. The show stars Dordt students Harrison Burns, Zachary Dirksen, and Peter Rexford.
“The Drawer Boy” will be performed on February 21,22, 23, and 24 at 7:30 p.m., and on February 24 at 2:00 p.m. at Te Paske Theatre, in Sioux Center High School. Ticket prices are as follows: General Public: $8, Senior Citizens (65+): $5, Non-Dordt Students: $5, and Dordt Students: $2.
