Postma To Join Defender Programs

(Wednesday, January 10; Sioux Center, Iowa) Mary Kate Postma, a senior at Western Christin High School (Iowa), has announced her intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender cross country and track programs.
Postma has personal bests of 21:23 on a 5,000 meter cross country course; 5:27 in the 1,500 meters and 11:53 in the 3,000 meters. Postma was a part of the 2014 Lakes Conference Cross Country Champion.
"Mary Kate is a great student and a tough competitor. She is a great fit for our program and has the commitment and work ethic to have her best racing at the college level. I look forward to working with her and watching her continue to develop as a distance," said Dordt College head cross country coach and assistant track and field coach Nate Wolf.
Mary Kate is the daughter of Brad and Brenda Postma of Rock Valley, Iowa. She plans to study Business and Accounting at Dordt College.
Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
