Baseball Signs Buteyn

(Tuesday, June 13; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Isaac Buteyn, a recent graduate of Brandon Valley High School (South Dakota), has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender baseball program.

Buteyn had a 7-3 pitching record in 54.3 innings of work with 49 strikeouts and a 1.20 earned run average.  He claimed Academic All-State honors and was a member of a state runner-up team. When not pitching Buteyn has played catcher and third base.

Isaac is the son of Jamie and Heidi Buteyn of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  He plans to study Engineering at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
