Steele To Join Defenders

(Friday, June 9; Sioux Center, Iowa) Eddie Steele, a student at Scotch College Adelaide (Australia), has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender basketball program.
Steele is a 6-3 guard and served as team captain during his career and also played for AUSA Hoops and Norwood Basketball Club.
“We are pleased Eddie has decided to join the Dordt College campus community and be a part of our basketball program. He has played numerous sports in Australia and as a result is a competitive player who will add depth to our team. Moreover, Eddie is the consummate teammate with a servant’s heart and a passion for the Lord. We look forward to Eddie developing with us the next four years,” said Dordt College basketball coach Ross Douma.
Eddie is the son of Kim Steele and Barry Steele of Norwood, Australia. He plans to study Engineering with a Civil Concentration at Dordt College.
Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
