Dordt College Men's Basketball vs. Hastings

(Hastings, NE) Dordt's men fell behind early today 15-2, and never recovered as Hastings won at home by 13 points, 77-63. Dordt's first field goal came seven minutes into the game, and Dordt only scored 19 first half points. The Defenders, however, did improve to out-score the Broncos in the second half 45-44, but it was not enough at Kiewit Gymnasium. Last week's GPAC Player-of-the-Week, Tim Streitwieser, scored 20 points and garnered 15 rebounds to lead the home team. Hastings' Brian Davis joined the Broncos 1000 point club on his first field goal of the game (he now has 1013 points). Dordt's Michael Ribbens and Dylan Haak each scored 13 points, and Evan Beimers took down eight rebounds. Dordt is now 8-8, and 2-6 in the GPAC. Hastings levels their league mark at 4-4, and their overall record is now 10-8.
