Dordt College Women's Soccer vs. Concordia

October 8, 2005

(Seward, Nebraska) The Concordia Bulldogs turned away the Dordt College Lady Defenders win women's soccer play at Seward, Nebraska tonight. The Lady Defenders drew first blood with an Anna Hubers goal in the first half. Concordia evened the score later in the half and after the first 45 minutes it was 1-1.

Concordia took the lead eleven minutes into the second half only to have Dordt answer one minute later with a goal by Nicki De Blaey off an assist by Suzanne Clark to tie it 2-2.

A goal by the hosts with 29 minutes remaining was answered by Dordt with a goal seven minutes later off a corner kick that was headed by Nicki De Blaey to Anne Oppeneer for the tie.

Concordia capped the scoring with 11:00 remaining off a corner kick of their own and the Bulldogs held on for their sixth win in the conference in seven starts. Dordt slips to 5-2-1 in the conference and 5-6-2 overall.
