Dordt College Men's Soccer vs. Briar Cliff: GPAC Quarterfinals

(Sioux City, Iowa) The Briar Cliff Chargers earned a reversal of their earlier loss to the Dordt College Defenders to advance on Great Plains Athletic Conference playoffs with a 1-0 triumph over Dordt. The quarterfinal round game was played in Sioux City on Thursday afternoon, November 4.

Chase Beiermann got the eventual gamewinner in the 51st minute. The Defenders outshot the Chargers, 11-10 with each team putting seven shots on goal.

Kyle King earned the shutout in goal for the Chargers and made seven saves. Dordt's Brian Verwolf had six saves for the Defenders.

Dordt ends the season with an 8-9-2 record while the Chargers advance in the tournament with an 8-7-2 mark. Briar Cliff will face the winner of the Hastings-Concordia contest on Tuesday, November 9.
