Dordt College Women's Soccer vs. Hastings-NAIA Region III Quarterfinals

(Hastings, Nebraska) The Dordt College Defender women's soccer season came to an end on Tuesday night, October 30 in Hastings, Nebraska as the Defenders dropped a 1-0 decision in the quarterfinal round of the NAIA Region III tournament. The Broncos advance as the number three seed and face Midland Lutheran on Friday, November 2 in Sioux City, Iowa.

The Broncos broke through with a goal in the 61st minute when Zoe Cranmer chipped a shot over Rosalyn DePooter for the eventual game winner.

Dordt's De Pooter was peppered all night with Hastings getting credit for 21 shots--13 of which were on goal, 12 of them De Pooter turned into saves. Dordt got one shot on goal and three shots total on the evening as Hastings won their 13th game of the season and their sixth in a row. De Pooter had seven saves in the first half to preserve the scoreless tie through the first half.

Dordt ends their season with a 10-7-1 mark and advanced to the NAIA Regional tournament for the sixth year in a row. This was the fifth time in those six years that Dordt and Hastings have met in the Regional with Hastings winning four of the five.
