Symposium Kick-Off Dinner

Dr. Justin Bailey, Sowing in Hope

Education is an act of hope. It calls us to take long looks at the world, to plant seeds even when the results are unseen, and to delight in the small generative acts that shape future generations. Rooted in hope, educators cultivate resilience, creativity, and joy as they nurture students for life beyond the classroom.

Change is hard. Leading change is...well, harder. During our time together, we will make sense of these two statements as we simultaneously look back on our experience leading change while empowering ourselves for the changes ahead of us and the schools we lead. Through the examination of various structures and frameworks, we will explore principles and ways of being that are foundational to successful navigation of change. The Deep Hope of this session is that we return to our schools with renewed vigor and clarity about the journey ahead.
