Screening

The screening is the highlight of the competition. This is when you see the work of other teams and show your hard work to the world. An emcee will host the evening, and corporate sponsors will be acknowledged and thanked. Plan on a lot of people enjoying your creative work in this exciting competition.

On Friday, February 19, 2016, all eligible entries in the 2016 Prairie Grass Film Challenge were screened in viewing rooms located around Dordt College. The night ended in the B.J. Haan Auditorium where the winners were presented and shown. It was a free screening, open to the public. Teams enjoyed the camaraderie of others who were crazy enough to spend a weekend making a film.

Prairie Grass Film Challenge officials screened entries in random order. The evening culminated with the judges' announcements. Judging took place before the screening. Judges' decisions were announced after the screening.

Submissions that did not win on the night of screening and that were chosen by judges as possible Peoples' Choice Award nominees were posted on the Film Challenge website for voting. When voting stopped, the winners of the Peoples' Choice Award were notified. A check was sent to the team that wins.

The winning videos (Best of Show, Runner Up) and all other eligible entries remained on the Film Challenge website, along with the names of the winners of the Peoples' Choice Award. Winning entries become part of the permanent archive of the Prairie Grass Film Challenge website.
