IDEAS 2016 took place June 13-17, 2016
IDEAS (Investigating, Discovering, and Excelling in Academics and Service) is a five-day academic camp for high school students to explore a wide range of academic disciplines. Each student can design their own camp to get a college-level experience investigating their areas of interest. IDEAS provides a look into career options and college plans for those considering a future in these areas of study.
With fun explorations and activities to make each day a great experience, IDEAS is perfect for anyone interested in an excellent way to spend a week of summer!
Detailed information about the program, the courses, and the application process are provided to the left under "Dig Deeper."
What former participants say:
"I really like the atmosphere at Dordt. It was good to meet people from all over the country who are interested in the same things I am. I've also enjoyed being able to work hard during the day digging into questions, but being able to enjoy many fun activities in the evenings."
"The actual class time activities were pretty cool and gave a good understanding of what happens in that field of study."
"The instructors were knowledgeable and made the camp very fun. I really enjoyed everything!"
"Learning new things and challenging myself and my knowledge in different situations was great. I enjoyed meeting people with similar interests and values, as well as talking to the professors."
