The main goals and objectives of the Dutch program are to help students dive into studying both the language and culture of Dutch-speaking people.

- To help students develop their oral and written language skills
- To assist students as they study Dutch people's values and beliefs as expressed in their economic, political, and religious systems
- To gain a solid understanding of Dutch literature

### STRENGTHS

- Our faculty member is a native Dutch speaker who has a strong understanding of the economic, political, and religious systems of the Netherlands
- Students who study Dutch at Dordt might participate in the Studies Program in Contemporary Europe (SPICE) program, where they spend a semester in the Netherlands
