Doane def. Dordt 16-0
HOW IT HAPPENED
Offense proved to be hard to come by as the Dordt Defender baseball team lost a 16-0 decision to conference leader Doane on Friday afternoon in Crete, Nebraska.
The Tigers broke through with eight runs in the second inning to take control of the game. Dordt’s best chance to score came in the fifth inning but the Defenders left the bases loaded after an Aaron Eshelman single followed by a Nolan Christianson base hit and Logan Cline walked but a timely hit was elusive in Dordt’s attempt to break up the shutout.
THE NUMBERS
Dordt had five hits with Chase Edwards accounting for two.
Aaron Eshelman, Kaden Davis and Nolan Christianson all had singles.
Diego Benitez took the loss and was charged with four runs.
