SCORE

Dordt def. Concordia 2-0

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Dordt Defender softball team was a 2-0 winner Saturday in game one of their doubleheader at Concordia.  Abby Kraemer was masterful on the mound and the Dordt offense got one run in the second and another in the fifth for the win.

Dordt got a run in the second inning when Aurora Tyson singled and advanced to second on a ground out. Ivy Terpstra delivered a two-out double to get the Defenders on the board. Karli Olsen knocked in Dordt’s run in the fifth after Terpstra reached on an error and went to second on a ground out.  Terpstra gained third on a passed ball and then scored on Olsen’s single.

That’s all the offense either team mustered in the game dominated by the starting pitchers.

THE NUMBERS

Olsen, Chandler Schemper, Brooklyn Van Oort, Tyson, Terpstra and Jessica Oules all accounted for a hit in Dordt’s six-hit attack. Schemper and Terpstra each had doubles.
