Dordt is in fourth place at the midpoint  of the GPAC Women’s Golf Championship and will hold that place until April when rounds three and four are played.  The Defenders carded a 336 on day two of the event to move into fourth place in front of Jamestown and four strokes behind Briar Cliff in third place.

Dordt’s two day total of 348-336=684 included a new single day record for the program, bettering the previous best of 339 from spring 2019. 

Rachel Bostwick shot 83-86=169 over the two days and is tied for ninth while Kerri Kroeze was 86-84=170 and is tied for 12th. Emily Knoche went low on Tuesday for Dordt with an 82 to go with a 90 from the first day and is tied for 19th. Gianna Van Klaveren added a 90-84=174 and Bailey Weg was Dordt’s fifth golfer with an 89-90=179 and is in 32nd place.

Morningside leads the field with a 304-308=612 and Dakota Wesleyan is second with a 343-323=666. Sofia Castelan shot 74-76=150 and leads her teammate Maria Zorrilla with a 151.


“The women played great. All their hard work this fall has really showed on the golf course the last two days. I really appreciate all the time and effort they have been putting in and the results showed it.”


Dordt will golf in a two day event next week Monday and Tuesday, October 11 and 12 at Spencer, Iowa.
