Dordt def. Missouri State 4-2
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Defender hockey team scored three goals in the second period on their way to a win on the road at Missouri State.
Dordt went down early as Ryan Moon scored for the Bears near the midway point of the first period. With seven minutes to go in the period, Dawson Kaemingh tied the game on a fast break goal on the far side of the net.
The second period saw four total goals scored, including three for the Defenders. Eli Visscher found his way into the scoring column for the fifth time this season in the opening minutes of the period, helping the Defenders take a 2-1 lead. Jacob Petrie then scored on the wraparound minutes later to extend the Dordt lead to two. Petrie added another goal to his total on an unassisted goal from in front of the blue line. Missouri State scored once more in the second, but it was not enough as the Defenders came away with a 4-2 victory.

Dordt will play Missouri State for the second time of the weekend on Saturday at 1:00 PM.
