Dordt def. Nebraska-Omaha 4-0
HOW IT HAPPENED
Dawson Kaemingh scored two goals and Jackson Cross had a shutout in goal as Dordt defeated Nebraska-Omaha 4-0 in a rematch of Friday's contest.
Both teams moved the puck well in the first period until Dordt went ahead on a goal by Dawson Kaemingh. It was the lone goal in the first period.
The second period held fewer shots for the Defenders, who scored three goals on eight shot attempts. Eli Visscher scored off of the assist by Noah Wilmes to give the Defenders a 2-0 lead. With six minutes remaining in the period, Dawson Kaemingh scored his second goal of the game and his third of the season. Seconds later, Dordt pushed the puck toward their offensive zone and created another scoring chance for Alex Espenson to make the score 4-0.
Neither team scored in the final period as the Defenders kept pressure on their side of the ice, leading to a shutout win.
