SCORE

Dordt def. Doane 2-1

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Dordt men's soccer team used a late goal by Blake Hansen to break a 1-1 tie in the final home game of the regular season.

Doane got on the scoreboard first in the 11th minute on a goal from Gilberto Rodriguez that gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead. Late in the half, Ethan Knott tied the game 1-1 as Nathan Wanninger's shot attempt set Knott up for a shot on goal that found the back of the net.

With just over 10 minutes remaining in regulation, Dordt set up for a corner kick by Santiago Carvajal, who passed the ball to the middle of the box where Blake Hansen had a shot attempt pass closely across the goal line. Hansen's goal ended up being the game-winner as the Defenders closed out their home season with a conference win.
