Dordt University came up short against the University of Jamestown (N.D.) 4-0 in a conference match played tonight in North Dakota.
The Defenders, now 1-8 in the GPAC and 2-12-2 overall, have two matches left in the regular season. Jamestown moves into a tie for fifth place in the conference with Concordia at 4-4-1, 6-7-2 overall.
Dordt was down 1-0 at halftime after a goal by Jimmies midfielder Aaron Pike during the 22nd minute.
The Defenders gave up three second half goals, one each by Frankie Parkinson (48:56), Eric Fairtlough (58:04) and Diego Valle (64:47).
Blake Hansen and Nathan Wanninger accounted for the two shots on goal by the Defenders. Brandon Hansen made five saves.
Alex Hamer earned his second shutout of the season for Jamestown.
The Defenders will host Doane on Saturday, Oct. 23 at 3:15pm in the final home match of the regular season.
