Dordt University lost a road match to Dakota Wesleyan 3-0 tonight in Mitchell, S.D.

The Defenders fall to 1-3 in the conference, 2-7-2 overall, heading into their bye weekend. 

The host Tigers put away the game winner during the 11th minute on the first of two goals scored by Rafael Calderon. 

With Dordt trailing 1-0 at the break, the Defenders allowed a pair of second half goals. DWU went up 2-0 on a goal from Barry-Dre Tibbetts at the 50:34 mark. Calderon wrapped up the scoring with a goal during the 81st minute.

Brandon Hansen made four saves for the Defenders; Dordt totaled five shots on-goal, one each by Nolan Regan, Mason Stolle, Nathan Wanninger, Blake Hansen and Phil Appelt. 

DWU totaled seven shots on-goal, led by Calderon with four.

Dordt will host Mount Marty on Wednesday, Oct. 6 at 8pm.
