Hastings def. Dordt 4-3

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Dordt Defenders played in their final game of the regular season at Hastings on Saturday, falling 4-3 on the road.

Both teams scored early as Hastings and Dordt got on the board in the opening five minutes. Jacqueline Gilbert scored for Hastings to give them a 1-0 lead, but Jori Bronner's goal less than twenty seconds later tied the game 1-1.

Hastings took the lead in the 11th minute on a penalty kick goal from Dekota Schubert.

The Broncos held the lead for the remainder of the game, taking a 3-1 lead into halftime. Eva Dunker then scored a goal to push the Hastings lead to three. However, Dordt cut into the lead as Ellie Stuart scored on the assist by Sarah Miller at the 61-minute mark. Jori Bronner added her second goal of the game in the final ten minutes, but Hastings held onto their one-goal lead in today's GPAC matchup.
