Set one featured 10 ties and Dordt had a 24-23 lead with service to win. A service error tied the set and Dordt had three more set point serves but couldn’t get the needed point to finish the set.
Ottawa jumped out to a significant lead in set two on the way to a 25-12 win, leading 10-3 almost immediately.
The Spirit finished the match with a 25-18 win in set three after leading by a relatively slim 13-10 margin.
Dordt had a .187 kill efficiency while Ottawa had a .392 kill efficiency on 74 total attacks.
Caleb Kulesza had 11 kills and Andres Guzman had nine as Dordt had 33 total kills.
Levi Vroom put up 28 assists.
Dordt surrendered nine points on blocks and got four of their own. Ottawa also had five service aces.
Dordt is now 2-3 while Ottawa improves to 4-3.
