Viterbo def. Dordt 3-2 (25-22, 23-25, 16-25, 30-28, 15-17)
Dordt lost a slim decision to Viterbo in men’s volleyball action played at Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa on Saturday, February 13.
Dordt lost a 25-23 decision in set two and a 17-15 decision in set five while taking a slight 30-28 win in set four to force the decisive set five after getting behind 2-1 in the match.
Caleb Kulesza had 23 kills and a .226 kill efficiency in the loss and Andres Guzman had 14 kills with two ace serves and 11 digs. Kulesza had 17 digs.
Shavon Barker accounted for 10 kills and Boris Le had 31 assists with nine digs. Lucas Lopes had 12 digs and Levi Ewald had 14.
Viterbo had a 7-2 service ace advantage.

“Our block came alive in this match and really presented a strong presence at the net. Many statistical categories were in our favor but we missed out on just a few key closure moments to take the match. This tough learning lesson will strengthen us for the future when we learn from it and keep growing this season.”
