Dordt def. Dakota Wesleyan 10-6
The Dordt Defenders overcame a 3-1 deficit in the fourth inning to win a 10-6 decision from the Dakota Wesleyan Tigers in GPAC baseball.
Dordt took the lead on a Nick Hamilton two-run homerun for a 4-3 lead but Wesleyan scored a run each in the fifth and seventh innings.
A Brock Spade solo homerun tied the game in the eight but Wesleyan took the lead again with a run scored on a wild pitch. Dordt finally got some breathing room in the ninth with Chase Edwards doubling in Logan Cline to tie it an and Hamilton delivered the eventual game winner with a single. Dordt added three more for a 10-6 lead and Nick Yeager worked around a leadoff single in the bottom of the ninth to get the pitching win after coming on in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Austin Pullar was 3-5 in the leadoff spot with two runs scored. Nick Hamilton was 3-5 with four runs batted in and Brock Spade also was 3-5 with two runs batted in.
Logan Cline continues to swing a hot bat with two hits and he was walked three times.
Luke Turner pitched six and a third innings and struck out 10 with five runs allowed on seven hits.
Diego Benitez pitched an inning and allowed tow hits and Yeager recorded the final five outs and had a strikeout with one hit given up.
Dordt is now 9-11 and 2-0 in the GPAC and will host Doane on Saturday afternoon starting at 2:00.

“We had a great outing in game one from Kim and picked up some key hits. In game two our guys kept plugging away and we were able to break through at the right time. This was a great way to start off conference play.”
