Hastings def. Dordt 6-2

HOW IT HAPPENED

In the first half of play, it was the offenses that led the way, as five total goals were scored. Hastings kept pressure on the Dordt defense early on until Tyler Mase scored the first goal of the game. Seven minutes later, Will Pointon added to the Broncos' lead following a Hastings corner kick. On the following possession, Blake Hansen scored his sixth goal of the season. Hansen's goal was followed by Lukas Goetz to increase the Hastings lead back to two. In the waning minutes of the half, Dordt cut their deficit in half as Matt Alsum finished the corner kick by Asher Brown for his first goal of the year.

The second half opened with an early Hastings attempt saved by Brandon Hansen. After a missed shot attempt by Kai Knuchel, Hastings found the back of the net. David Panter added another goal shortly after to give the Broncos a 5-2 lead. Hastings added another late goal from Esteban Franco to finish the game today, the final game of the season for the Defenders.
