SCORE
Jamestown def. Dordt 4-2
HOW IT HAPPENED
Jamestown kept control of the ball through the opening fifteen minutes until Aaron Pike scored the first goal of the game, putting the visitors up 1-0. It was not long until the Defenders answered with a goal from freshman forward Blake Hansen. Jamestown did not lose the lead for long when Aaron Pike scored another goal five minutes later.
The goals continued to follow throughout the remainder of the first half as Reuben Zepeda and Luis Zepeda each scored within the next ten minutes, bringing the halftime score to 4-1.
In a second half that included a similar number of shot attempts as the first, neither team scored a goal until the final minute, when Blake Hansen trimmed the deficit by 1. However, the goal was not enough to create a late-game rally for the Defenders.

COACH GRESSE SAID
"We made some mistakes early on then continued to battle back as the game progressed. We put together a fine second half but couldn't fully recover the scoreline. Once again, the team responded to adversity due to injuries and covered for each other. We're praying for recoveries heading into next week."
