HOW IT HAPPENED
The Dordt University hockey team began its Colorado road trip with a 4-1 loss to Air Force on Thursday.
The Defenders' Freddy Bullock scored with six minutes to play in the first to give Dordt a 1-0 lead. Collin Price and Caleb Koomans were credited with the assist. Bryce Andry kept Air Force off the of the scoreboard for the rest of the first period.
Air Force broke things open in the second starting with Nicholas Hastings goal eight minutes into the period. Four minutes later, Richard Brown made it 2-1 in favor of Air Force. Douglas Gutierrez scored the final goal of the period with 30 seconds to play giving Air Force a 3-1 lead heading into the third.
Tim Perea capped off the scoring halfway through the third to secure the 4-1 victory for Air Force.
Dordt had 23 shots on goal in the loss.
Bryce Andry had 48 saves in the game.
The loss dropped Dordt to 3-4 on the year.

Mark Anarumo had 23 saves for Air Force.
Four different players scored in the victory.
Dordt will play University of Colorado-Colorado Springs on Friday at 11:30 p.m. in Colorado Springs.
