Waldorf defeats Dordt 4-0
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Dordt Defender men’s soccer team lost a 4-0 non-conference decision to Waldorf on Wednesday afternoon in Sioux Center. The game was played with intermittent drizzle and cool conditions as the teams played their first competition of October.
The Warriors controlled play from the start and scored goals in the 17th and 30th minutes for a 2-0 halftime lead.
In all, four different players scored for the guests as they added goals in the 57th and 60th minutes to secure the shutout win.
Waldorf had a 25-2 shot advantage and a 11-0 shots on goal edge.
Seth Lewison made seven saves in goal for the Defenders while Raul Guillamon-Bejar was in goal for the Warriors and got credit for the shutout.
Dordt slides to 3-5-2 overall and Waldorf is now 5-5-2.
Dordt travels to Bellevue on Saturday for non-conference action against the Bruins.
