HOW IT HAPPENED
The Defender men's soccer team finished its 2019 season with a 3-2 loss to Midland on Saturday.
The game was scoreless throughout the first 35 minutes until Zach Froehlich finished a Mika De Vin corner to make it 1-0 in favor of the Defenders.
Sebastian Osueke finished a James Kilburn cross with three seconds to play in the first half to tie things at one.
Robert Wiseman found the back of the net three minutes into the second half to give Midland a 2-1 lead. Two minutes later, Mike Eijgendaal made it 3-1 after finishing a Wiseman slotted ball.
Patrick Munsey made it 3-2 in the 89th minute thanks to a Mason Stolle cross that gave Munsey a 1-on-1 with Midland goalkeeper Matthew Ricci.
Seth Lewison had 10 saves in his final game as a Dordt Defender.
Dordt was outshot 30-5 in the loss.
Three different players scored for the Warriors.
Matthew Ricci didn't make any saves in the victory.
Dordt graduated Mika De Vin, Seth Lewison and Zach Froehlich.
The Defenders finished the year with a 3-12-3 record overall.
