HOW IT HAPPENED

The Dordt University men's soccer team lost 4-1 to top GPAC team Hastings on Saturday. 

Hastings' Tom Steging found the back of the net five minutes into the game. Sixteen minutes later, Steging scored again to make it 2-0. 

Magnus Olafsson made it 3-0 in the 35 minute and one minute later Callum Watson gave Hastings a four goal lead heading into halftime. 

Garret Vander Zee pulled Dordt within three in the 48th minute off of a Gideon De Graaf throw-in. The Defenders couldn't put any more shots on goal throughout the final 30 minutes. 

The loss dropped Dordt to 1-7-2 in the GPAC. 

DORDT NUMBERS

Dordt had zero shots in the first half and four in the second. 

Seth Lewison had 13 saves in the loss. 

HASTINGS NUMBERS

Mateo Cuartas had one save in the game. 

The Broncos managed 39 shots in the victory.
