HOW IT HAPPENEDThe Dordt men's soccer team suffered a 4-1 loss to Morningside on Saturday. The loss is Dordt's sixth GPAC defeat in a row.
Okan Golge found the back of the net in the 16th minute off of an Austin Lingle assist. Two minutes later, Moritz Lusch found the back of the net on a 20 yard free kick.
The rest of the first half went by without much action and Dordt went into halftime down 2-0.
Asher Brown finished a rebound off of a Jordan Bransten shot in the 51st minute to pull the Defenders within one. Dordt had several opportunities over the next twenty minutes, but couldn't find the back of the net.
Noah Aniser scored Morningside's third goal of the game in the 73rd minute to kill Dordt's momentum. Noah Jorritsma capped off the scoring in the 80th minute to give the Mustangs the 4-1 win.
DORDT NUMBERSDordt was outshot 20-10 in the loss.
Seth Lewison had nine saves for the Defenders.
