HOW IT HAPPENED

The Dordt men's soccer team suffered another GPAC loss in a 3-0 defeat to Briar Cliff on Saturday.

The Chargers scored all three of their goals in a 12 minute span of the first half. Marcus Horwood finished a Jacob Harvey assist in the 20th minute to break the 0-0 tie.

Rodrigo Oliveira scored the second in the 26th minute to make it 2-0. Iwan McNab had the third in the 32nd minute to round out the scoring.

David Benthem had a breakaway opportunity late in the first half to make it 3-1, but failed to put a shot on goal.

The second half came with little action. As the snow accumulated, play slowed. The Chargers held off the few attacks the Defenders mounted and earned the 3-0 victory.
