HOW IT HAPPENED
The Dordt men's soccer team won it's second 1-0 game in a row with a road win over Presentation on Tuesday.
The Defenders had nine shots in the first half, but couldn't sneak anything past Presentation goalkeeper Jack Murray. Seth Lewison held strong for the Defenders despite facing seven first half shots.
The lone goal came from junior Patrick Munsey in the 82nd minute. The Defenders were able to keep the Saints from threatening over the final eight minutes to start GPAC play 1-0.
Dordt goalkeeper Seth Lewison had five saves in the game to earn his second shutout in a row.
Both Patrick Munsey and Gideon De Graaf had multiple shots on goal. The Defenders had 13 as a team.
Goalkeeper Jack Murray had six saves in the loss.
Kieren Clarke led the Saints with six shots.
COACH GRESSE SAID
"Respect to Presentation, it was a well fought match. Both teams had a numbers of opportunities, but couldn't capitalize. We had a few off of the post and they missed a penalty. In the end, we gritted it out and found a way to win. I'm proud of the way the guys kept their composure and continued to push forward. It was a deserved first conference win."
Dordt will play York on Saturday at 3:30 in York, Nebraska.
