HOW IT HAPPENED

The Dordt men's soccer team played Buena Vista to a 2-2 tie on Wednesday. Neither team could break through over the two overtime sessions and the game ended in Buena Vista's third tie of the season. 

Garret Vander Zee broke the deadlock in the 39th minute off of a Gideon De Graaf throw-in. Neither team could scored over the final five minutes and Dordt went into halftime with a 1-0 lead. 

Buena Vista's Andy Rodriguez scored his first of the game in the 64th minute to tie the game. Two minutes later, Rodriguez scored again to give the Beavers a 2-1 lead. 

Patrick Munsey scored off of a 25-yard free kick in the 73rd minute to tie the game at two. 

As both teams went into overtime, neither were able to break the deadlock over the 20 minutes. 

DORDT NUMBERS

Dordt was outshot by Buena Vista 17-16 in the game. 

Dordt goalkeeper Seth Lewison had seven saves in the win. 

BUENA VISTA NUMBERS

Manuel Aguilar had three saves in the game including a game saving save with a few minutes left in overtime.
