Isaiah Castillo scored his first of the game in the 31st minute and Friends held the 3-0 lead going in to halftime.

Dordt goalkeeper Seth Lewison had eight saves in the game.

Dordt was out shot 27-8.

Three different players scored for Friends University.

Jesus Herrara Rivera had three saves in the victory.

"It was a challenging game from start to finish. Much respect to Friends, they exposed some of our gaps and punished our mistakes early. Although not an ideal scoreline, we need to play teams of their quality to make us better. We now have things to work on, learn from and progress going into our second week of the season."

Dordt will play Buena Vista at home on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
