The Dordt women won their third meet in as many tries on Saturday at the Briar Cliff Invite at the Adams Nature Preserve at North Sioux City, South Dakota.

Dordt totaled 59 points and was 18 clear of Hastings and 22 from Northwestern.

14 teams ran in the race and 166 runners.

Heidi Hennings from Hastings won the meet with a time of 17:59.

Annechiena Knevelbaard was Dordt’s first runner across with a second place time of 18:07.

Dordt’s 1-5 gap was 1:22.

“Our women’s team raced well today. We had several season and career best races.  Annechiena Knevelbaard led the team again, finishing second overall.  Olivia Couch and Sarah Wensink raced strong giving us three ladies in the top 10.  Freshman Tiana Schroeder had the strongest race of her young career finishing 5th on the team and closing the 1-5 gap to 1:21.  The women had three in the top-10, four in the top-15, and eight in the top-35 of the 166 person race.”


Dordt will run at the Mount Marty Invite on Saturday, October 20 in the final prep for the GPAC Championship.
