Concordia defeats Dordt 3-0
HOW IT HAPPENED
Concordia made it a sweep on Saturday with a 3-0 win over the Defenders in GPAC play on the road in Seward, Nebraska.
Concordia scored on in the fourth and two more in the sixth inning on the way to the nine-inning victory.
Dordt stranded baserunners in four of its first five innings and left two in on the seventh when they had runners on first and second with one out but a fly out in foul territory and a fly out to centerfield ended the threat.
Dordt was outhit 12-4.
Jadon Vander Molen went five and two-third innings and was charged with three unearned runs and struck out six with two bases on balls issued.
Justin Bond pitched the final inning and a third and walked two with two strikeouts.
Lucas Nelson had a pair of singles and Chris Schrieber and David Laurenti each had singles
Dordt finishes the year with an 8-28 record and a 5-23 GPAC mark.
Concordia is 29-17 overall and 23-5 entering post-season play.
This concludes the Defender baseball season.
