HOW IT HAPPENED
Due to several cancellations, the Dordt Blades played their first game in 28 days on Friday night. A sluggish start opened the door for Creighton to secure a 5-2 victory.
Bryce Andry started in net for the Blades and surrendered one goal in the first period. Jaren Brue scored early in the second to tie things at one. A shot by Branden Chamberlain snuck past Andry with nine minutes to play in the second and gave Creighton a 2-1 lead.
Caleb Groot scored a minute later off of an assist from Spencer Van Ravenswaay and Rylan Brue to tie the game at two.
Two shorthanded goals by the Bluejays gave Creighton a two goal lead early in the third. Matthew Kocourek scored the final goal of the game to secure the victory for Creighton.
Andry played the entire game and faced 30 shots.
The loss dropped Dordt to 0-9 overall.
Dordt will face off against Creigton at home tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.
