HOW IT HAPPENED
The Dordt College men’s soccer team finished their season with a 4-2 loss to Midland on Saturday.
The Warriors’ Robert Wiseman knocked in a James Kilburn assist six minutes into the game to break the deadlock.
Patrick Munsey responded in the 25th minute to tie the game at one. Both teams went scoreless for the rest of the first half.
The second half started slowly, but Jared Money broke the tie in the 64th minute to stretch Midland’s lead to 2-1. Cesar Cuellar scored his first nine minutes later. Cuellar earned his brace in the 86th minute to stretch the Warrior’s lead to 4-1.
Munsey scored his second of the game in the 89th minute to pull Dordt within two and finish off the scoring.
NUMBERS
Dordt was outshot 20-6 overall and 9-3 in shots on goal.
Dordt goalkeeper Bryce Lindquist had five saves in the match.

“The men played one of our best games. We competed very well and were right in the game. The team had a lot of fun and played well on the last day. Special thanks to seniors Jack, Eric, Kenton, Colton, Jose and Joel. They worked hard and represented Dordt well from start to finish today and over the last four years.”
