HOW IT HAPPENED 

Four first half goals were all the Hastings Broncos needed to defeat the Dordt College men's soccer team on Saturday.

Florian Reider scored the first of his two goals two minutes into the match to give Hastings the 1-0 lead.

Reider struck again 20 minutes later to extend the Broncos lead to two off of an assist from Bruno Moreira.

Jonathan Lopez finished a Huseyin Celik assist in the 25th minute to give Hastings a 3-0 lead. Nate Miller scored the final goal of the game in the 37th minute.

NUMBERS

Dordt was outshot 23-5 overall and 12-1 in shots on goal.

Dordt goalkeeper Seth Lewison had eight saves in the match.

COACH ELGERSMA SAID

“Hastings really jumped on us. Their pace of play and overall talent level is impressive. Our opportunities were limited. Credit to them. We played a very smart second half.”
