Mayville State defeats Dordt 6-3
HOW IT HAPPENED
Dordt scored first but Mayville State never trailed after the second inning and won a 6-3 decision from the Defenders in non-conference softball on Thursday afternoon in Arizona.
The Defenders got a run in the first with Jessica Oules coming across on a wild pitch.
A run in the bottom of the first and two more in the home half of the second put the Comets up 3-1.

Back to back doubles by Heeringa and Rachel Evavold got Dordt to within 4-3 but two more runs in the sixth that were unearned for Mayville State put them up by the final margin of victory.
Dordt did get the tying run to the plate but a fly out ended the threat.
