Jamestown defeats Dordt 9-4
HOW IT HAPPENED
Dordt never led in falling to Jamestown late Tuesday night in Tucson, Arizona.
Dordt plated two runs in the fourth inning as Corinne May delivered a sacrifice fly and Carley De Roin also had a run scoring single to get the lead down to 3-2.
The Jimmies answered with four runs on three hits to take a commanding 7-2 lead. Dordt had one more answer after giving up two more in the sixth inning on a homerun. De Roin had a triple that scored Summer Jansen and Corinne May also came in on the play.
Dordt was outhit 14-9.
Hailey Heeringa had three hits and De Roin had two hits with three runs batted in.
Dordt was not issued a base on balls.
Tianna Top took the loss while working five innings and was charged with six earned runs and struck out two.
Rachel Evavold pitched the final two innings and was charged with two runs.
