Valley City State defeats Dordt 6-0
HOW IT HAPPENED
Valley City State broke through for four runs in the sixth inning to take a 6-0 win over the Dordt Defenders Tuesday in Arizona.
The Vikings got one in the first and one in the fourth for a 2-0 advantage.
Dordt never had more than one runner in an inning before Valley City State broke the game open with four runs on five hits in the sixth inning.
The Defenders were retired in the seventh inning in order.
Dordt was outhit 11-2.
Josh Van Eps and Zach Fowler had a single and double respectively to account for Dordt’s hits.
Isaac Vander Hart went four innings and took the loss with five hits allowed and two runs given up with five strikeouts.
