COACH CHRISTIANS SAID
“The women got off to a great start today with Molly Banks leading the way with a 38 on her first nine holes. Alyssa Fedders and Autumn Vos were close behind with 40’s. Tess Hemmila played a solid first nine with a 43. After making the turn, the Defenders found the trees off the tee at Two Rivers and battled to save bogeys on many holes. Despite the higher scores on the second nine, we were able to post a team score of 348 which is a new school record for a one-day score. The conditions were very warm and windy and we stayed focused and avoided some big numbers that can happen on this course. The team is looking forward to having Erin Olsen play her first competitive round of the fall season and giving us a good opportunity to improve our team score.”
