The Dordt Women's golf team spent the day in Yankton, South Dakota wrapping up the second day of the Mount Marty Invitational that took place at Fox Run Golf Course. Dordt finished the two day meet in twelfth place with a 765 and were led by Alyssa Fedders on both days. Fedders, a sophmore from Sioux Center, Iowa finished the first day with an 80 and with a 90 the second. Both scores were topped the list for the Defenders for the meet and gained Fedder's a T12th on the overall leader board.
Morningside College took home both the team and individual trophies with their own Samantha Knight toping all scorers with a 71 on day one and 83 on the second day totaling 154. Morningside College narrowly clinched the victory over William Penn University with 645 and 647 respectively.

Meet Notes:
- Morningside College used a comfortable cushion from the first day of play to hold off William Penn who was two strokes shy of ousting the Mustangs. William Penn was 11 strokes better the second day.
- Doane College was the only school to shoot a better score on the second day of play.
The Defenders travel to Orange City, Iowa next week Wednesday the 5th of September to take part in the Northwestern Invitational to be played at the Landsmeer Golf Club. Last year the Dordt Women took home a 6th place finish in this event.
