Jamestown defeats Dordt 99-82
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Jamestown Jimmies secured a 17 point win over the Defenders in men’s non-conference play on Saturday afternoon in North Dakota.
The first half was tight with neither team leading my more than four points until Jamestown closed the first half on a 5-0 run. The first half featured 11 ties with the final one at 43-43.
A 7-0 run to start the second half put the hosts up 61-46 and the Defenders got no closer than 10 points the rest of the game before falling 99-82.
Dordt was 24-58 from the field and 9-23 on three-points shots and converted 25-31 free throws.
Jamestown was 34-59 from the field and 7-11 from the three-point line.
Dordt was outrebounded 33-32 and forced 20 turnovers while committing 18.
Jessen Jansma came off the bench for 11 points and Kobe Critchley had 10 while Alec Henrickson added nine.
Andrew O’Donnell and Josh Van Lingen each had eight points.
Dordt is 1-2 and will host Waldorf in non-conference basketball on Tuesday night at the De Witt Gym.
